1987 – Present	Kennesaw State University, Kennesaw, GA Associate Professor of Geography and Social Science Education (2001-Present) Assistant Professor of Geography and Social Science Education (1996-2001) Instructor of Geography and Social Science Education (1991 - 1996) Part-time Instructor (1987-1991). Teaching courses in World Regional Geography, Urban Geography, Social Issues: Perspectives in Geography, Historical Geography, Political Geography, Geography of Europe, Cultural Geography; or Peoples of the World (a graduate education course).
1974-1991	Atlanta Public Schools, Atlanta, GA High School Social Science Instructor. Responsible for meeting local and state education requirements for approximately 150 students per day. Accomplishments: Star Teacher 1982/83. Supervised student research for local and regional social science fairs, Senate Youth Program, and High School Model U.N. Program. Sponsorships included: National Honor Society, Girls Drill Team, and Chess Club, with Chess Team placing 3rd (1987) and 2nd (1988) in the Georgia State Championships.

1985-1986	First National Bank of Atlanta, Atlanta, GA Summer Intern. Conducted applied market research utilizing Atlas mapping software and carried out preliminary site-location analysis for branch bank development.
1982	Glenmary Research Center, Atlanta, GA Geography Consultant. Compiled demographic report: “Catholic Population Trends 1970-1980” for nationwide media release.
1980-1981	Rich’s Inc. , Atlanta, GA Service Manager. Part-time position Greenbriar store supervising up to 60 employees.
1971-1972	Colonial Stores Inc., East Point, GA Transportation Coordinator. Dispatched 30 drivers and coordinated transportation movements in North Georgia.
1967-1971	U.S. Merchant Marine Officer Navigation and Cargo Officer. Licensed by the U.S. Coast Guard, served aboard merchant cargo vessels engaged in worldwide trading and freight operations.
