How to do your Internet Project For the Internet Project you need to find ten (10) terms, one from 10 different chapters in your text(s) OR use a theme approach and get a head start on your research. Now you must put each of these terms in a web Search Engine, my favorite is www.google.com. When you find a website that uses that particular term in an applied sense that is geographically related, you must evaluate that website. Do your work in a word processor ( MS Word, Word Perfect etc.) so that it may be saved, in case of a transmission error. The work for each term must be in the following format: 1) A. the term B. the URL of the website (the “http://”of the website MUST be included for me to review to the site you found) C. the name of the Sponsor of the website ( the person or organization that posted that site on the web) D. an analysis of the site, what you learned and the educational value of the site in 4-5 GOOD sentences. This is designed to improve your the critical thinking skills. (Make three[3] spaces and start term number 2) and do it the same way as the example above.) This is NOT to look up a definition…this is a critical thinking analysis of the practical or applied use of that term on the web or a way to jump start your research paper, by looking up info about your explorer on the web and evaluating those Web sites. Click on the mail (letter) icon on the homepage of VISTA. NOW, Copy and Paste ALL 10 of your terms into the “Message” box of the WebCT VISTA e-mail. Click on the Browse, pull down menu to the right of the “Send To:” box and scroll down to find my name, Harold Trendell, click on my name and hit the “Select” button this will put my course number in the “Send To” box of the e-mail. Fill in the Subject box and hit the “Send” button this will e-mail your work to me via VISTA. Send ALL ten terms together…NOT…a few at a time. Please DO NOT SEND ATTACHMENTS, I will not accept them for fear of viruses infecting the KSU system inadvertently. If you have problems e-mail me at htrendel@kennesaw.edu Good Luck. Dr. T |
