Dr. Swint is a specialist in Campaigns and Elections and Mass Media. His second book, Mudslingers: The Top 25 Negative Political Campaigns of All Time (2006, Praeger) garnered national notice and critical praise. Mudslingers is now available as a paperback in bookstores nationwide. A Korean version was made available in 2007. Also look for his new book Dark Genius: The Influential Career of Legendary Political Operative and Fox News Founder Roger Ailes (Union Square Press, 2008). As an author and political scientist, Dr. Swint has appeared on CNN, Fox News, local television news in markets nationwide, National Public Radio, syndicated radio programs around the country, and has appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times, National Journal, Roll Call, The Hill, Campaigns & Elections, The Chronicle of Higher Education, The Atlanta Journal/Constitution, and numerous other national and regional publications. He is a former political campaign consultant, a frequent speaker for community, civic, and business groups, and has been recognized by the university and the community for Distinguished Service and Scholarship.
