Setting of 6 Buddhist aphorisms in a continuous song cycle. Lyrical, kind to the voice. Colorfully interwoven textures, rhapsodic, beautiful. Some virtuosity required in all parts, esp. control of delicate timbral shadings, e.g., soprano vocalise with modulating vowels, piano harmonics. Premiered by the contemporary ensemble Thamyris.
