Economics Honor Society

Kennesaw State University

Advisor: Dr. Penelope B. Prime

WHAT: An internationally recognized honor society for students of economics. Objectives include:

  • promoting the professional aspects of economics as a career in academia, business, government and international organizations
  • recognition of scholastic attainment in economics
  • establishment of closer ties between students and faculty on their own campuses and between student and faculty in economics on all campuses

BENEFITS: An opportunity to be recognized, to get to know faculty and other students of economics, as well as an honor to add to your resume. Upon election to ODE, the member receives a membership card, a scroll, and a year’s subscription to The American Economist. The cost is a one time payment of $30. If you decide to renew The American Economist, there is an annual subscription fee.

REQUIREMENTS: Completion of 12 semester hours (or quarter equivalents) in economics, with an average of 3.0 or better in those courses and overall. A major in economics is not required-only a genuine interest in economics.
